My background

Faced with the daily challenges of running and leading my own SME with up to 60 employees over 12 years until December 31^st, 2021, I have been able to build a deeper, experience-based understanding of the complexity of leadership, communication, and management in real life. Those years of hands-on experience, combined with the theory acquired in continuous further education, form the foundation of my focus on my clients’ individual and practical needs when I design leadership development or coaching interventions for them.

I am passionate about designing and delivering learning and development interventions for people willing to invest time and effort in their own development. Providing tools for participants to analyse and answer their own practical questions about leadership and management, giving impulses and holding the space for reflection, and asking the right questions in coaching situations are some of my key talents.

While I am deeply interested in current research on leadership and management, neuroleadership and psychology and have read and studied these topics extensively, what makes me really tick is turning such knowledge into practical applications to help us all work together even better. I have been described as pragmatic and down-to-earth and I wear these labels with pride, especially after having been continuously confronted with the practical realities of leadership and cooperation in my own small company.

Besides bringing practical experience and theoretical knowledge together into effective learning interventions, my strengths lie in building strong relationships with individuals and small groups and in the discipline of working hard to achieve challenging goals at high quality.

Bilingual in English and (Swiss) German, I graduated in English and History from Basel University in Switzerland, hold diplomas in high school teaching and in General Management and postgraduate certificates in the Psychology of Change and Development and in Neuroleadership, as well as a diploma from the Coach Training Academy in Switzerland. In 2022 I graduated from my latest 2-year-training with the international coaching certification as a Professional Co-active Coach (CPCC).

Before founding my own company in 2010, I had gathered several years of experience in local and global management and leadership roles with a global corporation in the chemical industry, as well as with a Swiss SME in publishing. This provides me with a sound understanding of the systems and organisations my clients operate in and enables me to readily co-create the most appropriate and effective learning interventions for their specific needs.
